Terms of use.

How we look after you, your information and your purchases.

These terms govern your use of the WalkWell4Life website, courses and tools (the “Service”). By placing an order or creating an account, you agree to them. WalkWell4Life is part of a family of wellbeing brands created by Dr Alten du Plessis (alongside FlourishIQ, FlourishTalk and InspireWell4Life), and is powered by FlourishIQ. FlourishTalk is the seller and processes card payments, so FlourishTalk is the name on your statement. Please also read our privacy policy and refund policy, which form part of these terms.

1. Your account and orders

  • Give accurate details and keep any login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Accounts are personal to you. Do not share your login or access with people who have not paid.
  • You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. What we offer

  • The Wisdom of the Walk explorer and the free tools are free to use, without an account.
  • Courses are annual access per course, sold and delivered on FlourishIQ.
  • The Clubhouse membership is billed each period (monthly or yearly) and gives the benefits described on the Clubhouse page. You may cancel at any time; you keep access to the period you have paid for.
  • Group orders buy course seats for several people at once; each seat follows the course terms.
  • The Wisdom of the Walk card deck and ebook are digital products made to order with the name you give us, emailed as a download link that works for 30 days. A group deck order makes one personalised deck for each person on your list.
  • We may add, update, retire or re-organise products and tools over time.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the relevant page; the price you pay is the one shown at checkout. We may change prices from time to time. Card payments go through PayFast and are processed by FlourishTalk, the name on your statement. Prices are in South African rand. Refunds follow our refund policy.

4. Licence and fair use

When you take a course, we give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use it for your own learning. You may not copy, resell, sub-license, publish or redistribute the content; share your account or access with people who have not paid; or use the Service unlawfully, or try to disrupt it or gain access you are not entitled to.

5. Intellectual property

The content, tools, the selection and arrangement of the quotation library, the artwork, designs and branding are owned by WalkWell4Life and its creator, Dr Alten du Plessis, and are protected by law. Each quotation remains the words of the person quoted, with its source shown. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

6. Your content

What you write in the tools remains yours. You give us the limited permission needed to store it, show it back to you and run the Service. We treat it as private and handle it under our privacy policy.

7. Education, not medical advice

WalkWell4Life provides educational, evidence-informed content on walking, health and wellbeing. It is not medical, physiotherapy or clinical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you have a health condition, symptoms or concerns, consult a qualified professional before you change your activity, and stop and seek help if you feel chest pain, dizziness or unusual breathlessness.

8. Affiliates

If you take part in our affiliate programme, the affiliate terms also apply.

9. Disclaimers and limits of liability

We work hard to provide a reliable, high-quality Service, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee particular outcomes or uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, our liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the course or membership concerned in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Suspension and ending

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used unlawfully. Where you have paid for access and have not breached these terms, we will honour the access you paid for.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version; continuing to use the Service means you accept the current terms.
